FRES works with the fee-for-service concept. The customer pays a monthly amount for access to electricity. This amount depends partly on the service level chosen by the customer: the number of light bulbs and the number of power points or, if the usage is higher, an amount per kWh. The costs of the services supplied are similar to the old alternative, like candles or lamp oil. FRES companies own the installed systems and take care of the cost of maintenance. Customers can go to an energy shop in their area for service and payments.
