Better study results because of electric light

Solar energy is thé way for the inhabitants of developing countries to have access to electricity. FRES dedicates it's work to this and sets up local utilities in Africa. Also in Burkina Faso.

Burkina Faso is one of the ten poorest countries in the world. Until recently, over 97% of the households in rural areas didn't have access to electricity. In the village Banakoro FRES company Yeelen Ba installed twenty solar home system. Ouadio Niékété, teacher French, teaches 150 children. Now, they can do their homework at night, where they weren't able to do so in the past because there wasn't access to light. Ouadio Niékété: 'I can truely say that electricity has a major impact on the performances of my students.'

Nuon supports FRES, an independent NGO that can do its work because of subsidies, private and commercial donations. Would you like to know more or contribute yourself? Click here.
